A New Boutique Brings “Athleisure” to Spring Lake

After working as a yoga instructor and retail specialist, Ali Keating saw a marketing opportunity in “athleisure,” a fashion trend that has everyone from soccer moms to business professionals dressing in mixed-material’d, patterned, and textured gym attire. So in March, Keating opened Barefoot, a boutique focusing solely on active and lifestyle apparel, in the heart of Spring Lake. Featuring fashion-forward sporty collections for women, men, and children, the store specializes in comfortable, easy-care yoga pieces and carries a range of tops, pants, leggings, jackets, and sweats crafted for beach, gym, and studio. The shop also features weekly donation-based yoga classes, wherein you can try out the store’s Manduka mats before you buy.
